Project Brief

This project explores multiple interaction techniques in 2D design applications tailored for touch screen devices. The aim is to enhance user efficiency and precision by addressing the limitations of existing tools. By introducing features such as an angle adjustment tool, circular ruler, straight ruler, real-time measurement display, and gesture-based interactions, the solution enables users to sketch more accurately, adjust angles effortlessly, and verify dimensions instantly. This project seeks to redefine the 2D sketching experience through thoughtful design and usability testing.

Observation

Existing 2D design applications lack precise measurement tools and intuitive interaction methods. Users often struggle with sketching accurately and adjusting shapes or dimensions effectively on touch-screen devices.

Angle Adjustment Tool

A dynamic tool allowing users to adjust angles of shapes or lines precisely. Users can drag a slider or input specific values to achieve the desired angle. This is particularly useful for creating geometric shapes or technical drawings.

Handwriting Gesture Interaction

Designers often need to draw shapes at specific angles, such as when sketching product or drawings measurements. The angle adjustment tool would allow them to easily set and visualize the angle of the shape they are drawing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in their sketches.
